Omg, finished
About forehead protector (spoilers) Before you start lecture me that Kushina is from Whirlpool Country, let me make a short explanation. The fisrt time I've read the chapter I pictured her as a kunoichi, who through the most part of her life served Konoha. Why? Beause, firstly, Jiraiya told she used to be tomboyish etc, then Tsunade commented that Kushina 'grew up into beautiful woman'. That means they had to see her since her childhood, and since they refer to her as 'kunoichi', she had to appear in Konoha in her genin-chuunin years. And, maybe there is even more to her last name (u. = spiral, whirlpool), some important relation with her former country itself. I re-read both English scanlation and original Japanese raw versions of the chapter many times and never thought anything else. The doubts appeared when I saw how other artists portrait Kushina - with no village symbol or with their own thought up Whirlpool ones. When I drew here on her headband a Leaf symbol I really did it without pondering much. Either way, you may not agree with my beliefs, but please don't flame : ) It's no smoking zone. Time: about 20h. Maybe more. And I still don't like it :/ Textures! ~egg9700 and ~Enchantedgal-Stock Kushina © Kishimoto-san |
